Abstract

The article presents the results of a study of the influence of temperature and time conditions of isoprene rubber (SKI-3) plasticization on the time to achieve the optimum vulcanization of rubber compounds (t90) based on the obtained rubber plastics. SKI-3 plasticization was carried out in a closed laboratory 5-liter rubber mixer manufactured by HFM in the temperature range 30–130 °C and time 30–600 s with a rotor speed of 30 rpm. The t90 indicator was installed on the MDR-2000 rheometer, and the molecular characteristics of the SKI-3 plastics on the Waters gel chromatograph. The data obtained allow us to conclude that the temperature of SKI-3 plasticization has a slight effect on t90, and an increase in the duration of its implementation increases this indicator. It was found that with the growth of t90, the bond strength of vulcanizates with metal cord increases. An equation describing this dependence is obtained. A decrease in the molecular weight of SKI-3 plastics leads to a decrease in the t90 index. In general, SKI-3 plasticization reduces the time to achieve optimum vulcanization.
