Abstract

The paper considers the influence of two grades of butadiene-styrene and one grade of butadiene-methylstyrene thermoplastic elastomers on the technological properties of elastomeric compositions based on synthetic isoprene rubber. As synthetic isoprene rubber we used SKI-3 grade rubber produced by «Togliattikauchuk» LLC, as butadiene-styrene thermoplastic elastomers we used DST R 30-00 and DST L 31-01VV grades produced by PJSC «SIBUR Holding», and as butadiene-methylstyrene thermoplastic elastomers we used DMST-R 30 grade produced by V.F. FGBU «NIISK». Mixing of the studied polymers was carried out in a mixer Brabender Plasti-corder PLE 330 for 4 minutes at a temperature of 120 oC. It was found that combining SKI-3 with these TPE allows to improve such technological parameters as green strength and plasticity retention index. As the TPE content increases, the green strength, plasticity preservation index and Mooney viscosity increase. It is shown that the combination of synthetic polyisoprene SKI-3 with butadiene-styrene or butadiene-methylstyrene TPE at the ratio of components 70/30 allows to obtain elastomeric material with green strength at the level of natural rubber RSS-1.
