Abstract

Using the example of radiosonde shells (RSS), the features of the technology of manufacturing large-sized latex products by ion deposition are considered. Its fundamental difference consists in carrying out a number of operations with the gel preparation of the future product –blowing, drying and vulcanization outside the dipping mold. These operations involve deformation of the gel and change the microstructure of the material at the initial stage of the process. The changes are fixed during drying due to the formation of new intermolecular bonds and are reflected in the properties of the future product. The basic requirements for raw materials and technological limitations are formulated. It is shown that the effective use of latex mixtures in the production of RSS is limited in time. At the same time, there is a possibility of their application in traditional latex technologies for the production of less demanding products.
