Abstract
Ideas of chemical structure of the Performance additives (PA) for rubber compounds, based on zinc or zinc-calcium salts of fatty acids, as coordinative unsaturated substances are considered. On this base the mechanism of increase of dispersity of modern brands of carbon and silica fillers with adding of zinc-calcium salts of fatty acids to rubber compounds at a stage of their production is offered. The offered mechanism includes the adhesion of a metal ion in zinc-calcium salts of fatty acids to fillers particles due to the interactions with functional groups on their surface by Van-der-Waals, donor-acceptor, dipole-dipolar and hydrogen bonds. On the basis of the offered mechanism the PA’s were prepared, which provide in heavy-duty tread compounds for all metal cord tires a complex of properties at the level of these properties for imported PA UltraFlow 500.
Comparative tests of UltraFlow 500, also a supposed domestic analog of Struktol A60 (Z60) and developed PA's Distrol series (D-70 and D-80) showed equivalent action of D-80 with UltraFlow 500 on technological properties of rubber compounds of heavy-duty tread (HDT) compounds all with metal cord and also – on mechanical and dynamic properties of vulcanizates, first of all, on tgδ at 60 °C, that allows to provide a fuel economy HDT.
