The Prospects of Replacement of NR in Tires with Synthetic Polyisoprene

Abstract

Literary data and also results of the research works of the author which underwent industrial approbation and in some cases the road tests of tires directed to replacement of natural rubber with a synthetic polyisoprene (IR) by its modifying with p-nitrozodiphenilaminе (4-NDFA) in the form of the NFA modifier at a stage of production of rubber mixes are considered and analysed. It is shown that this way of replacement of NR is for today only industrially mastered and perspective. Earlier exaggerated fears about toxicity of 4-NDFA are reconsidered.
